Today I want to introduce you to my friend Ashley Ann. Ashley is a mother to 5 children and loves to crochet. In the last few years she's turned that love for crocheting into a small business and I'd love to tell you more about it.
Mamma's Handmade Creations 03 is a North Dakota based hand crocheted items business. Here is the story of how Ashley got started, some of the products she's created, and how to find her and get your own items!
Here is her story in her words. "I had an accident 3.5 years ago that I suffered a major concussion from. I now deal with constant migraines and memory issues. I first learned how to loom knit because it helped my brain learn and remember things. It was a constant repetition with the same patterns. Once I learned how to knit hats and scarves, I decided to try and learn to crochet. That took a long time to learn, but with a lot of trial and error, I finally got it figured out. So now I’m making all kinds of things. Which I am proud of. Crocheting still helps me with my memory and it also pushes me out of my comfort zone. My customers have asked me to make some challenging items, but I am up for the challenges."
